Our Work

Whether you have an existing site you’d like to make a little bit better; or you’d like us to launch your new site for your small business, art project, band, musical event, or personal project, we’d be happy to help.

Some examples of our recent work. Note that all designs are subject to change.

Southwest Paranormal Investigation and Research Team of Pennsylvania

SPIRT of PA is an eight year old paranormal investigations group located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In a crowded field of often embarassing sites, Mark decided to make something clean, simple, and easy to use and understand.

Mark installed Wordpress, modified the coding for the HTML and CSS, adjusted the SPIRT logo to match the site’s color scheme, and educated SPIRT founder Rebecca Lynch in the use of Wordpress. Mark also assisted by installing a database tool for recording paranormal investigations.

(Note: a great thanks to Doug Bowman’s book Bulletproof Web Design for the basic framework for the two column design.)

Subversive Zone

Portland, Oregon’s Subversive Zone is an innovative night of music that has played on and off again for the last three years. For their second incarnation they became more serious about their marketing. At the time of Subversive Zone’s relaunch in 2007, Myspace was a key place to be for the Portland music scene. Unfortunately Myspace “design” was a misery of noisy, loud third-party templates or a boring standard default blue.

Working with and existing flier design by Adam Michaud of New World Industries, Mark and Cindi adapted the flier’s colors and logo, clearing out Myspace cruft and resulting in a cleaner, happier design.

(Note: this work predates Myspace rolling out CSS-based templates. Original work on making a designer-friendly Myspace template was by Mike Davidson, to whom we remain forever grateful.)
