Richardson Drafting and Design

Richardson Drafting and Design is a full service drafting and design company with an emphasis on green building. They had descriptions of their services at third party websites all over the Internet but what they lacked was one place clients could visit. We built them a straightforward design that highlighted the galleries of images provided by the client.

  • Client: Jeff Richardson
  • Date: March 2010
  • Services: Wordpress installation; template installation and customization; content uploading; administration assistance.

SPIRT of PA

SPIRT of PA is an eight year old paranormal investigations group located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In a crowded field of often embarassing
sites, Mark decided to make something clean, simple, and easy to use.

  • Client: Rebecca Lynch
  • Date: September 2009
  • Services: Templates and color scheme; logo color modification; Wordpress installation; administration assistance.

Motorcycles Music & Charity

The PDX Roadrunners (Portland, OR) asked us to make a flyer for a day and night of music and food to benefit the Bradley-Angle House, a local woman’s shelter.

Confronted with a slew of images of bands and sponsors, Cindi pulled the disparate design elements together around the central conceit of the spokes of a motorcyle wheel.

  • Client: Jeff Richardson
  • Date: May 2008
  • Services: Flier concept and finished design.

Subversive Zone

For their second incarnation the organizers of Portland, Oregon’s Subversive Zone became more serious about marketing their night of experimental music, and Myspace was a key place to be for Portland’s independent music scene.

Unfortunately Myspace “design” circa 2008 was a misery of noisy, loud third-party templates or a boring standard default blue. Working with their existing flier design Mark and Cindi adapted the flier’s colors and logo, clearing out Myspace cruft and resulting in a cleaner, happier design.

  • Client: Don Lang
  • Date: Spring 2008
  • Services: Myspace code modification; copywriting.

Animalrights.net now uses a different design.

Animalrights.net

Brian Carnell built Animalrights.net to be the premiere web site for information and discussion critical of the animal rights movement. Using Macrobyte’s Conversant internet groupware we built a design that improved browsing the large article database. The homepage became a window into the entire site, while customized search results exposed related topics.

  • Client: Brian Carnell
  • Date: September 2004
  • Services: HTML and CSS template development; CMS (Macrobyte Conversant) implementation; information architecture.

Suspended by Hooks

For death metal band Suspended by Hooks, Mark used classic metal design concepts and future-facing code to make a site that was easy to administer and a pleasure for fans to visit.

  • Client: Matthew Schulte
  • Date: August 2003
  • Services: HTML and CSS template development; CMS (Macrobyte Conversant) implementation; information architecture; site hosting.
